Description

Spitmaan Spiral Wound gaskets are manufactured with alternate layers of preformed metallic windings and pliant fillers that are spirally wound. The filler material seals the internal pressure across a wide range of media applications. Spitmaan Gaskets are certified for emission control applications and will seal flanges where temperature, pressure, vibration, or flow rates are beyond the capability of conventional jointing materials. For standard gaskets, the dimensions, manufacturing, and testing parameters are governed by ASME B16.20.

Style OC- This gasket is constructed with an outer centering ring and inner circular metal/filler winding.

Style OCI - This gasket is constructed with an outer centering ring, an inner ring, and a circular metal/filler winding in between.

Style CI - The Gasket is constructed with circular outer metal/filler winding and with an inner ring.

Application guidelines 

• Applications include Oil Refineries, Chemical, Petrochemical, Marine, Power Plants, Pulp, Pipelines, Pressure vessels on steam, metallurgical, nuclear, and hydraulic plants including heat exchangers. Spitmaan gaskets are recommended for flange joints where bolt loading is limited.
• Suitable for standard ASME B 16.20a: 1994, ASME B 16.5, ASME B16.5 Series A (MSS- SP 44), ME B16.5 Series B (ASME B16.47 supersedes API 605), IS 7719: 2013, DIN & JIS flanges. 
• Non-standard dimensions Ø10 mm up to Ø3500 mm. 
• Non-circular manholes, handholes, tubecaps, and plugs for boilers and vessels.
